Once and a while a rare opportunity presents itself to create a timeless memento to travel into space alongside our robotic creations. Conceptualized by JPLers Dan Goods and Preston Dyches, the Europa Clipper vault plate carries a message of togetherness to a distant water world. I had the honor of working on the inward facing portion of the vault plate designing the message in a bottle that carries 2.6 million names etched into a small chip of those who signed up to send their name to Jupiter’s moon, Europa.
